Author: Pokopia Guide Team
Irreversible Elements
Irreversible elements in Pokopia include the protagonist's name, the inability to return to arbitrary save data, and items given to Pokemon not being returned. Check these in advance to avoid irreversible situations.
The protagonist's name cannot be changed
The protagonist's name set at the start of the game cannot be changed later. Choose carefully so you don't have any regrets.
Cannot Revert to a Specific Save Point
In Pokopia, you cannot load a specific save file, and you cannot turn off Auto-save. Please note that you cannot manually save beforehand to redo your actions.
Items Given to Pokémon Cannot Be Returned
Items given to Professor Tangrowth or Pokémon after selecting "Look at this!" and choosing an item will not be returned. Since the data may be immediately overwritten by the Auto-save feature, be careful not to give away any valuable items.
Items Dropped into the Abyss Cannot Be Recovered
Items and blocks dropped into the abyss in areas like Glittering Floating Island Town will not be returned. Be careful not to drop them accidentally.
Story Island Reroll Elements
The types of berries (other than Leppa Berries) and the colors of flowers growing naturally on the Story Island vary depending on the save data. Since the terrain and object placement are fixed, terrain rerolling is not possible. On the other hand, the terrain of Cloud Island in multiplayer changes every time it is created, making it a repeatable element.

In-game acquisition methods are available
There are ways to obtain berries and flowers that do not grow naturally on the Story Island. Seeds for each berry can be found on the map. Flower seeds can be obtained from the daily shop and other sources. Another method is to duplicate them using the 3D printer at the Pokémon Center.
Character appearance can be changed Palette Town name can be changed later Missing Pokémon will reappear the next day or later Collected resources can be replenished at Dream Island Language setting can be changed from the title screen
In Pokopia, character appearance and the name of Palette Town can be changed later, making them reversible elements. Pokémon that are not present on a given day will reappear from the next day onwards, so a Pokémon that has appeared once will not disappear forever.
Character Appearance Can Be Changed
The appearance of the character you created at the start of the game can be changed once you obtain furniture with a mirror, such as the "Large Mirror."
How to Obtain the Large Mirror
| How to Obtain | |
|---|---|
| ① | Purchase from the PC Shop |
| ② | Pick up in the town of Withered Wastelands |
The Large Mirror can be obtained by purchasing it from the PC Shop or by picking it up from where it is placed on the map in the town of Withered Wastelands.
You can change the name of Palette Town later
Immediately after arriving at Palette Town, players can name the town whatever they like. The town name you decide on here can be changed later via the PC, so feel free to name it however you wish.
Missing Pokemon will respawn from the next day onwards
Not all Pokemon are always displayed within the Pokopia Pokemon areas. Since they may temporarily disappear, if they are missing, try using Honey at their habitat.
Collected resources can be replenished at Dream Island
Materials such as blocks on the map are virtually unlimited, as they can be collected in large quantities at Dream Island, which can be visited once a day. Additionally, flowers and crops can be collected as they are using Cultivate, and items like leaves can be gathered infinitely by cutting grass grown with Leafage.
Blocks and objects can also be collected after clearing the game
By using "Magnet Rise," which can be learned after clearing the game, you can collect blocks and objects on the map as they are. Even blocks that do not drop the original block when broken can be collected using Magnet Rise.
Language Settings Can Be Changed from the Title Screen
You will set the language immediately after starting the game, but the display language can be changed from the settings menu accessible from the title screen. Please note that it cannot be changed from the settings menu during gameplay.
Efficient Early Game Progression
Decide which habitat to create by checking the Habitat Pokédex
When preparing a new habitat in Pokopia, decide which habitat to create by checking the Habitat Pokédex. By creating habitats where Pokémon you haven't befriended yet appear, you can efficiently add new Pokémon to your team.
Pokémon won't come to occupied habitats
Other Pokémon will not come to habitats where a Pokémon has already settled. Therefore, when you want to meet new Pokémon, don't forget to prepare a habitat that is currently unoccupied.
Scyther is a valuable source of
"Lumber"
Scyther, who joins your team during the story, can create 5
"Lumber" from 1
"Small Log". In the early game, you will consume a large amount of
"Lumber" for tasks like rebuilding the Pokémon Center, so be sure to make use of it.
Daily Challenges are especially rewarding
The "Daily Challenges" updated every day are simple to complete, but the amount of Life Coins rewarded is more generous than regular challenges. Since you can earn Life Coins efficiently, make sure to prioritize completing them.

Break Glowing Sparkles with Rock Smash
The glittering items buried in the walls and ground of Pokopia are all valuable items, such as "Fossils" and "Dolls." Since there are many of them scattered around, break them with Rock Smash when you find them to obtain the items.
Befriend Drifloon and Go to Dream Island
You can befriend Drifloon at the coast accessible after learning Rock Smash. Once befriended, you can visit Dream Island once a day by giving it a doll. On Dream Island, you have a chance to encounter Legendary Pokemon, as well as collect materials and obtain rare items, so it's recommended to start going there early in the game.
A Doll is Required to Go to Dream Island
To go to Dream Island, you need to give a doll to Drifloon. The first Eevee Doll can be obtained from a glowing block near Drilbur. Dolls can also be obtained from shops or through dowsing, so be sure to get them whenever you see them. Additionally, since dolls are not consumed upon use, it's recommended to start visiting from the early stages of the game.
Always collect the Wings dropped by Ho-Oh and Lugia
▲Scene where Ho-Oh drops a Wing
Pokemon | Weather | Dropped Wing | Ho-Oh | Sunny | Rainbow Wing | Lugia | Rain or Cloudy | Silver Wing
When you spot Ho-Oh or Lugia, be sure to pick up the Wings they drop. You will need 5 of each type of Wing to encounter Ho-Oh and Lugia. Since you can hear their cries when they appear, look up to find them.
Exchange Wings for rare items with Gimmighoul
The Wings dropped by Ho-Oh and Lugia can also be exchanged for rare items by speaking to Gimmighoul. However, because they are necessary for encountering Ho-Oh and Lugia, we recommend only exchanging them if you have more than 5.
You can visit Palette Town early on
A warning will appear if you try to head to Palette Town early in the story. However, nothing irreversible will happen, and since there are more wild Pokémon and items available than in the main story, choosing to play in Palette Town first is by no means a bad option.
The Big Storage Box is especially useful
By progressing through Palette Town, you can obtain the Big Storage Box early in the game. The Big Storage Box allows you to store up to 60 types of items, making item management much easier once you have it.
There is no downside to raising the town's Environment Level
The town has an Environment Level, which represents the comfort of the resident Pokemon as a numerical level. As the level increases, not only are new items added to the shop, but it also becomes an element linked to late-game progression and completionist content. Therefore, it is a good idea to progress while carefully considering the comfort of your Pokemon.
Exchange Rare Items with Pokémon
Some Pokémon, such as Vespiquen, will trade rare furniture and other items with you. Since this makes it easier to obtain rare items and furniture, you should prioritize becoming friends with these Pokémon.
Get Rewards for Filling the Pokedex
You can receive special rewards for every certain number of entries you complete in the Pokedex. Since you can sometimes get valuable items useful for town-building, actively befriend Pokemon and aim to complete the Pokedex.
No Penalty for Advancing System Time
There is no penalty for advancing the time on the Switch console. Therefore, elements that require time to pass during story progression can be completed quickly without any waiting time by advancing the system time.
Essential Tips for Beginners
Decide which habitat to create by checking the Habitat Pokédex. New elements are unlocked by completing Requests. Give items to Pokémon and they will process them for you. It's convenient to place the Crafting Bench and Storage Box next to each other. Always keep one Crafting Bench in your inventory. Hold the Y button to collect items all at once. You can move flowers using Cultivate. Crops can be fully harvested using Cut. Fast travel is possible via the Home Navi. Buy Bag Organization Tips and Point Ups.

Unlock New Features by Completing Requests
There are some Pokémon that unlock new features upon completing their requests. For example, completing Drifloon's request allows you to visit Dream Island. Since there are many requests that unlock various features in this way, try to complete as many as you can.
Give Materials to Pokémon for Processing
If you give materials to certain Pokémon, they will process them for you. For example, if you give a
"Small Log" to Scyther, it will process it into "Lumber." There are many other Pokémon that can process materials, so keep that in mind.
Place Crafting Tables and Storage Boxes Next to Each Other
Normally, crafting tables use items held by Ditto as materials, but if you place a storage box next to it, you can use items inside the storage box as materials. Since this saves the trouble of taking items out of the storage box, it is generally recommended to place them side-by-side.
Always Carry a Crafting Table
In Pokopia, you cannot craft items without a crafting table. It’s a good idea to carry one crafting table just in case you suddenly need to craft something while far away from town. Recipes can be purchased at the shop, so it's recommended to make a portable crafting table after buying one.
Hold the Y Button to Collect Items in Bulk
While holding down the Y Button, Ditto will vacuum up and collect items in front of it. While you can also collect items with a short press, holding it down is more efficient when you want to collect items all at once.
You can move flowers with Cultivate
You can move flowers using Ditto's move, "Cultivate." This is very useful when you want to create habitats, so keep it in mind. Additionally, "Cultivate" becomes available after completing Drilbur's request.
Harvest All Crops with Cut
You can efficiently harvest all crops using Ditto's move, "Cut." It makes the process much easier, so be sure to keep this in mind. Additionally, "Cut" becomes available by completing a request for Scyther.
Fast Travel via Home Navi
You can fast travel to your home by using the "Home Navi" found in the Pokedex, which can be opened with the + button. Since you can travel to your home in each area, don't forget to build a Ditto's house once you reach a new area.
Tips for Bag Organization and Buying Sub-Bags
At the PC in front of the Pokemon Center, you can check challenges, receive rewards, and shop. Buying "Tips for Bag Organization," which increases the number of items you can carry in the early game, and the "Sub-Bag," which allows you to use held items immediately, will make your game progress much smoother.

Collect Items with Everyone's Box
When you set up Everyone's Item Box, Pokemon skilled at "Sorting" will put the items they've collected inside. You can purchase the recipe from the PC shop, so make sure to buy and place one.
They Will Also Process Materials
If there are Pokemon nearby that can process materials, they will process the materials stored in Everyone's Box. Since processing takes time, use this to semi-automate the process and make things more convenient.
You can only ask "How's the comfort?" once per day
You can only ask "How's the comfort?" to each Pokémon once per day. Asking "How's the comfort?" and fulfilling their requests will increase their comfort and the Environment Level, so make sure to do this every day.
Hold A before building to see the finished preview
When placing building kits, you can see a preview of the finished structure by holding the A button. Since this makes it easier to visualize how the building will look once completed, we recommend checking it before placement.
In-game time can be manipulated
In-game time can be changed by advancing the system time of the Switch 2. If you want to change the in-game time immediately, close the game, change the system time, and then restart it.
Move One Tile at a Time While Holding ZL
Moving while holding the ZL button fixes Ditto's direction, allowing you to move one tile at a time up, down, left, or right. This is a useful technique when you want to use a move on a specific spot or when placing items.
Fast Travel with Fly or Teleport
By selecting a Pokemon in the Pokedex and pressing the + button to enter "Search" mode, you can Fast Travel to the location of a Pokemon that has "Fly" or "Teleport" by talking to them. However, you cannot travel across different areas.

They are useful for raising the Environment Level, so it is helpful to become friends with them from the early stages of the game.
Break Glowing Blocks
The locations of glowing blocks on the field are reset daily. You can obtain items such as lost items, fossils, and mysterious stone tablets, so be sure to collect them. By using the Dowsing Machine and a Pokémon with the "Item Search" ability, you can be guided to these glowing blocks.
Ask about Comfort

After learning "Water Absorb", using a drink allows you to create a water source with different water quality at any location you like. Vending machines can be found in the towns of Withered Wastelands and Gloomy Beach.

For seasonal events held for a limited time, it is important to collect event items and participate during the event period. Please note that if you do not change the time, you will not be able to make up for it until the event is held again.
Building Structures with Construction Kits
