How to Use the 3D Printer
The 3D printer in Pokopia allows you to duplicate items by selecting a photo that features them. However, to use it, you must rebuild the Pokemon Center and prepare Poke Metal.
Steps
- Raise any town to Environment Level 3 — The "Poke Center Rebuilding Kit" will become available for purchase at the shop.
- Rebuild the Pokemon Center — Collect the specified materials and Pokemon to construct it. Once completed, a 3D printer will be installed inside.
- Take a photo of the item you want to copy — Activate the camera and take a photo while the item name is displayed by pressing the Y button.
- Copy with the 3D printer — Interact with the 3D printer inside the Pokemon Center and select the photo. A certain amount of Pokemetal or Rare Pokemetal is required depending on the item.
If you do not have enough Pokemetal, the photo will be marked and dimmed. Selecting it will display the required amount.
Recommended Copy Targets
Increase Sprinklers to Streamline Farming
| Cost | Pokemetal |
|---|
Sprinklers water automatically, making them essential for streamlining farm work. They are located in the field at the bottom left of the Rocky Ridges map, so take a photo to increase them.
Non-native Berries
| Cost | Rare Pokemetal |
|---|
There are 6 types of Berries in total, but only Leppa Berries and one other random type out of the remaining five grow naturally. For Berries that do not grow wild, you must obtain seeds from Poké Balls found across the map and grow them yourself. Take a photo of the tree you've grown and use the 3D printer to produce more.
Berries are required for Painting
Berries are required for Painting furniture and blocks. Since the colors you can dye vary depending on the Berry, make sure to secure a large supply of each type if you want to be particular about your designs.
Photograph items you don't own in Multiplayer
By taking photos of items you don't own in Multiplayer, you can obtain them using the 3D Printer. Items like the dolls needed to go to Dream Island are recommended.
Taking photos on Official Islands is also recommended
If you visit Official Islands in Virtual Mode, you can take photos of items like Clefairy Dolls and Bonfires. Since you can freely explore in Virtual Mode even when the host is away, take photos of anything you want.
Items that cannot be copied
Items that show a prohibition mark after pressing the Y button with the camera cannot be copied using the 3D printer.
| Items that cannot be copied |
|---|
| Soil and Ore blocks |
| Berries (the fruit itself) |
| Paint |
While Berries themselves cannot be copied, you can increase them indirectly by copying the tree.
Unlock Conditions and Location
The 3D Printer is installed inside the Pokémon Center from the start once it has been built. The "Pokémon Center Reconstruction Kit" will be added to the shop at Environment Level 3, so focus on raising your Environment Level first.
