What You Can Do in Multiplayer
Build on Cloud Island
Cloud Island is a multiplayer island where you can progress with town building even when the host is away. Up to 4 players can play simultaneously, and since there is no limit on players swapping in and out, many players can participate.
You cannot take Pokémon or items back with you (applies to both hosts and guests).
Building in Palette Town
Palette Town is a place where you can enjoy building your town freely. Up to 4 players can play together at once, and all participants can contribute to town-building by placing blocks and more.
Only the host can take back Pokemon and items. Guests cannot.
View Towns in Spectator Mode
Multiplayer in towns other than Fresh Town will be in Spectator Mode. Guests cannot use moves or items.
Invite Pokemon to Your Town
If you talk to a Pokemon in the host's town twice, you can select "Come visit my place next time." If you give a "Star Piece" to a visiting Pokemon, you will receive a "Souvenir." Opening the souvenir in an empty habitat will make a Pokemon of the same species appear.
Take Commemorative Photos
During multiplayer, you can enjoy taking commemorative photos with other players using the in-game camera function. You can also take selfies using the in-camera mode.
Multiplayer Unlock Conditions
It is unlocked by raising the Environment Level of the Withered Wastelands to 2. This can be reached in about 1 hour from the start of the game.
