How to Obtain Berries
For Berries in Pokopia, it is recommended to obtain seeds from Poké Balls found in various locations and grow them. Since only Leppa Berries and one other random type per user grow naturally, you should either obtain seeds or use Multiplayer.
Obtain Seeds from Poké Balls
| Berry | Seed Location |
|---|---|
Lum Berry | Beyond Gimmighoul's Manor in Rocky Ridges |
Pecha Berry | Side path of the Lava Lake in Rocky Ridges |
Aspear Berry | Waterfall at Bleak Beach |
Chesto Berry | Near Smeargle at Bleak Beach |
Rawst Berry | Upper-left island of Sparkling Skylands |
Leppa Berry | Grows naturally |
Lum Berries are past Gimmighoul's Manor in Rocky Ridges
Lum Berry seeds are inside a Poké Ball located past Gimmighoul's Manor in Rocky Ridges. They are placed in the lava area found after entering Gimmighoul's Manor and exiting through the door on the far right.
Pecha Berry is on the side path of the Lava Lake in Rocky Ridges
The Pecha Berry is inside a Poké Ball on the side path of the Lava Lake. Go through the entrance to the volcano to the left of the Pokémon Center, and once you reach the Lava Lake, head into the side path. The wire fence along the way can be destroyed with an upgraded Cut.
Aspear Berry is at Bleak Beach Waterfall
The Aspear Berry is inside the Poké Ball at the Bleak Beach waterfall.
Chesto Berries are near Smeargle at Bleak Beach
Chesto Berries are located near Smeargle, who is slightly below the center of the Bleak Beach map.
Rawst Berries are on the upper-left island of Sparkling Skylands
Rawst Berries are located on the upper-left island of Sparkling Skylands. There is a Poke Ball inside a hole with hanging vines, and the berry is contained within it.
Leppa + 1 other type grows naturally
In addition to Leppa Berries, one of the other five types of Berries grows naturally at random. This randomly growing Berry varies depending on the user.
Trading with Pokémon
Berries can also be obtained by trading items with Pokémon. Item trading can be done at Pokémon Centers or locations with a powered-on cash register if you have a Pokémon with the "Trade" specialty. If there are Berries that do not grow naturally in your save data, try trading for them.
Efficient Ways to Collect Berries
Copying Grown Trees with the 3D Printer
The most efficient way to collect Berries is to use the 3D Printer to copy trees you've grown and increase your harvest yield. The 3D Printer is located inside the Pokémon Center, and you can copy objects you have photographed by consuming
Poké Metal.
While you cannot copy the Berries themselves, you can increase them indirectly by copying the tree.
Advancing Time for Berries to Grow
By advancing the time on your Switch 2 after harvesting and then harvesting again, you can collect Berries in a short amount of time. Since one Berry grows every hour and a single tree can hold up to three, we recommend advancing the time by 3 hours and repeating the harvest.
Uses for Berries
| Use | Description |
|---|---|
| Paint materials for Painting | Give Berries to a Pokémon skilled at "Crush" to have them make paint. The color changes depending on the type of Berry. |
| Offerings for Mossy Snorlax | Giving food to a "Glutton" Snorlax (Mossy) triggers special effects. |
| Ingredients for Cooking | They cannot be used as main ingredients, but can be used alongside other ingredients. |
| PP Recovery | Eating them restores PP. Leppa Berries are recommended as they are easily obtainable in large quantities. |
Used as materials for paint used in dyeing
If you give Berries to a Pokémon whose specialty is "Crush," they will make paint for you. You can give the paint to Smeargle to have furniture and other items dyed in detail, or you can turn it into color balloons to dye furniture and blocks yourself.
Give to Snorlax (Mossy)
If you give food to Snorlax (Mossy), whose specialty is "Gluttony," special effects will occur depending on what you give it.
Use as Cooking Ingredients
Berries can be used as ingredients for cooking. However, they cannot be used as the main ingredient and must be used together with other food items.
Restore PP by Eating
You can restore PP by eating Berries. For PP restoration, Leppa Berries are recommended as they are easily obtainable in large quantities.
