Pokopia DLC Price, Expansion Pass & Part 2 FAQ

DLC price: base game, Expansion Pass or bundle?

Products and prices

Product	US regular price (USD)	Includes
Base game only	US$69.99	The game; paid DLC is separate
Expansion Pass only	US$34.99	All three DLC parts; base game required
Game + Expansion Pass	US$104.99	Base game and Expansion Pass; no console

Choose the right purchase

These are US regular prices. Currency, taxes, promotions and regional availability can differ. If you already own the base game, check the pass-only product; if you already own the pass, its included future parts do not require another pass purchase.

Platform and GameShare details

Part 1 of the Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass, Bubbly Basin, is live. The same release delivered the free Ver. 2.0.0 update, including Dive, underwater exploration, and underwater building.

What releases on October 29?

The October 29, 2026 release at selected retailers in Malaysia covers two packaged products. It is a retail-format date, not confirmation that Expansion Pass Part 2 unlocks that day. Check availability in your own region.

Product	What is inside
Expansion Pass package	A download code for the paid DLC. No game card; the base game is required separately.
Pokopia + Expansion Pass package	The base game and paid DLC. The physical game uses a game-key card and needs a download.

If you already own the game and Expansion Pass, you do not need to buy them again for future parts included in that pass. Buying a package does not bypass the release schedule.

Part 2 content and release-date questions

Part 2 adds accessories for Ditto and other Pokémon, more Pokémon and furniture; it does not add a new town. The announcement gives a late-2026 window, while the US DLC listing displays March 31, 2027. Those entries still differ, so an exact release date cannot be stated consistently here.

October 29 is the packaged-product date. Do not use it as the Part 2 unlock date. Part 1, Bubbly Basin, is already available; Part 3 is planned to add a town in 2027.

Two different Expansion Pass rewards

For the Dynamic Ditto print recipes, open the game’s + menu, choose Downloadable Content → Check Items → Receive. This is separate from entering a Mystery Gift serial code.

For the 30 Rare Pokémetal purchase bonus, eligible Expansion Pass purchases made by August 31, 2027 receive a personal code by email. The code is valid through September 30, 2027 and can be used once. Check the email tied to the Nintendo Account used for the purchase.

Is Dive free?	Yes. It is part of the free Ver. 2.0.0 update.
Is Bubbly Basin paid?	Yes. It is Expansion Pass Part 1.
How do I learn Dive?	Complete Manaphy's Bleak Beach request: bring it 5 Seaweed, then collect the Poke Ball Ornament underwater.
What opens the DLC gate?	Dive to the western Bleak Beach seafloor gate and present the Pokedex with Master Trainer Rank.
Do I need the Ditto Flag?	No, but it is recommended so you can establish a base and use Home Navigator.
What does the pass cost?	Nintendo US lists all three parts together for US$34.99; regional stores vary.

The Actual Entry Route

The previous pre-release requirement list is no longer current. The verified in-game route is:

1. Talk to Tangrowth at the Bleak Beach Pokemon Center.
2. Reach Manaphy's northwest island with Surf.
3. Bring Manaphy 5 Seaweed, learn Dive, collect the Poke Ball Ornament underwater, and finish the request.
4. Talk to Popplio at the Pokemon Center.
5. Dive to the depression on the western seafloor, then open the gate with Master Trainer Rank.

See the full Bubbly Basin DLC guide for the route, Environment Level 3 objective, Sea Temple, and Pokemon-specific progression.

Free Update vs. Expansion Pass

Free Ver. 2.0.0 update	Requires Expansion Pass Part 1
Dive, underwater exploration, and underwater building	Bubbly Basin town access
Underwater gameplay improvements	DLC-town furniture, Ditto outfits, and Pokemon content

The DLC Pokédex has 50 numbers and 52 form records. Their habitats, required materials, rarities, specialties, favorites, and environment preferences are listed in this site's Pokédex and habitat database.

Expansion Pass Schedule

Part	Status
Part 1	Available now: Bubbly Basin
Part 2	Official pages disagree: late 2026 in the overview, March 31, 2027 in the store listing; exact timing unconfirmed here
Part 3	Planned for 2027

The three parts are sold together as one Expansion Pass, not individually.
