Bubbly Basin Habitats: How to Unlock Every DLC Pokemon Habitat
Pokemon Pokopia Bubbly Basin habitat guide: unlock DLC habitats, raise Environment Level, find required materials, and check all DLC Pokemon locations.
Author: Pokopia Guide Team
Bubbly Basin adds 23 dedicated habitat recipes and 35 DLC Pokemon in Expansion Pass Part 1. This guide explains the unlock order and how to use the habitat data; use the DLC Pokemon list for the complete, filterable roster.
Before You Build DLC Habitats
You need the Expansion Pass and access to Bubbly Basin through the ocean door at Bleak Beach. Bring a Ditto Flag before entering so you can establish a base and return with Home Navigation. The exact route is in the Bubbly Basin DLC guide.
Habitat Unlock Order
- Reach Bubbly Basin and establish a base.
- Build available habitats, improve Pokemon comfort, and complete requests to raise the town's Environment Level.
- New requests and Pokemon appear as the environment level rises. Environment Level 3 is an important milestone for late DLC content.
- Check each habitat card for its materials, Pokemon, rarity, specialty, and any area restriction.
Do not assume a base-game habitat works in Bubbly Basin. DLC habitat recipes use underwater-specific materials and are listed separately in the habitat and Pokemon entries.
Bubbly Basin Habitat Types
The DLC recipes cover underwater grass, coral, seaweed, sand, sea moss, chimneys, treasure, shops, docks, mud play, baths, stages, and other underwater builds. Examples include Underwater Tall Grass, Coral Swaying Flower Field, Net-like Seaweed, and Sandy Underwater Tall Grass.
The recipe name alone is not enough to guarantee a spawn. Some Pokemon have low rarity, while others require a request, a named area, or a special encounter instead of a normal habitat.
How to Find a Specific DLC Pokemon
- Open the DLC Pokemon list.
- Filter by type or specialty, then open the Pokemon card.
- Note its listed habitat, rarity, required materials, and Bubbly Basin area condition.
- Build the habitat in Bubbly Basin and meet any request or environment-level requirement.
This is the reliable route for Pokemon added in the expansion. It keeps the list tied to the same data used by the cards instead of maintaining a separate manual checklist.
Special DLC Encounters
Not every DLC Pokemon is unlocked by a habitat. Manaphy is tied to the Dive progression and a later important request. Phione appears at low probability in the underground area of the underwater Dream Island after using the Starmie Doll.
