How to Learn Dive in Pokemon Pokopia: Manaphy Quest & Ocean Door

Dive is a free Ver. 2.0.0 Ditto move. It lets you explore and build underwater. You do not need the Expansion Pass to learn Dive, but the route beyond the Bubbly Basin ocean door leads to paid DLC content.

Dive Requirements

Before starting, learn Surf from Lapras's request and reach Bleak Beach. Surf is needed to reach Manaphy's northwest island.

Manaphy's Dive Quest: Step by Step

1. Talk to Tangrowth in front of the Bleak Beach Pokemon Center.
2. Use Surf to reach the northwest island and speak to Manaphy.
3. Collect 5 Seaweed around the island and give it to Manaphy.
4. Speak to Manaphy again to learn Dive.
5. Dive beside the island, recover the underwater Poke Ball Ornament, and report back to finish the request.

What Dive Lets You Do

• Move through underwater areas.
• Build, including houses, underwater.
• Reach the western seafloor depression at Bleak Beach and inspect the ocean door.

To open that door, speak to Popplio at the Pokemon Center, then present your Pokedex at Master Trainer Rank. The door leads to Bubbly Basin and requires the Expansion Pass.
