Bleak Beach Town Walkthrough
Go through the gate to the east of Withered Wastelands Town
Head to Gloomy Beach Town from the Area Gate on the east side of Withered Wastelands Town. Please note that you must clear Withered Wastelands Town and reach Super Trainer Rank to pass through the gate.
Event occurs at the broken bridge further along the path
Once you arrive at Bleak Beach Town, follow the path. A conversation with Tangrowth will begin at the broken bridge further ahead.
Connect the Broken Bridge by Placing Blocks
Place blocks between the gaps of the broken bridge to connect it. Any type of block can be used, but you can use the "Seaside Sand" found near the bridge even if you don't have any blocks in your inventory.
Event at the Pokemon Center on the Left After Crossing the Bridge
An event will occur at the broken Pokemon Center located on the left after crossing the bridge. The event will progress after you talk to Tangrowth and then check the PC.
Place Blocks to Stop the Water Flow
To stop the water flowing toward the Poke Center, go up to the upper area and place a block. By placing a block in the water flow located directly above the Poke Center, you can dam the water.
Talk to Meowth and Follow Him
After talking to Tangrowth, speak to the Meowth standing nearby. Once the conversation ends, Meowth will start moving, so follow him to proceed.
Damming the water behind Meowth's house
Go behind Meowth's house, destroy the wood debris with Cut, and then place a block to dam the water. By stopping the water, the "Resting Place" habitat will be restored.
Create New Habitats and Discover 2 Pokémon
▲ Recommended habitats that are easy to create
Check the Habitat Dex in the menu, create new habitats, and discover 2 undiscovered Pokémon. Finding them will allow the story to progress.
Talk to Meowth and Accept the Request
When you talk to Meowth, you will be asked to bring two "Mushroom Lamps." Mushroom Lamps can be crafted using the Glowing Mushrooms found in caves.
Head to the Cave and Obtain Glowing Mushrooms
The Glowing Mushrooms used for the Mushroom Lamp are located inside the cave. By heading back to the bridge you first visited and proceeding northeast, you can spot the Glowing Mushrooms even from a distance.
Place the Mushroom Lamp in Meowth's Room
Once you have crafted two Glowing Mushrooms into a Mushroom Lamp, place it in Meowth's Room. Any location within the room is fine.
Talk to Meowth again and accept the request
Meowth is having trouble cleaning up the mud in front of the house. Talk to Meowth and accept the request.
Create a Habitat and Befriend Piplup
To befriend Piplup, let's create the "Lush Yellow Grass" habitat. The Lush Yellow Grass habitat can be created by placing four grass patches near the water.
Take Piplup to the mud and wash it away to clear
Once you become friends with Piplup, take it to the mud in front of Meowth's house. After Piplup puts bubbles on the mud, wash the mud away with Water Gun to complete the request.
Receive a Request from Tangrowth
When you talk to Tangrowth and accept the request, you will be told to build a house and prepare three pieces of furniture. Purchase a "Sand Room Kit" from the shop and build a house in a location of your choice.
Gather Materials and Pokémon to Build a House
You can start construction by gathering materials and bringing two Pokémon. Once completed, put up a "Ditto Flag" and place three pieces of furniture.
Makuhita is Recommended for the Construction Pokémon Slot
For the construction Pokémon slot, Makuhita is recommended as its habitat is easy to create. Grow four patches of grass on a large tree to create the "Yellow Grass in the Shade" habitat.
Report to Tangrowth to Complete the Request
Once you have built a house and placed 3 pieces of furniture, report to Tangrowth to complete the request.
Receive a Request from Meowth
Go to Meowth's home and talk to it. You will be asked to place a planter made of bricks.
Create a Habitat and Become Friends with Torchic
Create a habitat for Torchic and become friends with it in order to make bricks. The materials needed for the habitat are available in front of Meowth's home.
Have Torchic Make Bricks
Directly behind Torchic's habitat, you can find "Squishy Clay," the material used for bricks. After breaking the blocks to obtain it, give it to Torchic to have it processed.
Craft a Planter
Once you receive the Bricks from Torchic, let's craft a Planter at the Crafting Table.
Place Near Meowth's Habitat
Let's place the planter you made near Meowth's habitat.
Planting Flowers in Planters
Flowers are blooming right next to Meowth's home, so collect them using the move "Cultivate" and plant them in the planter you've set up. You can pick up flowers with ZR using Cultivate, then move to the planter and press A to plant them.
Receive a Request from Piplup
Accept a request from Piplup, who is with Professor Tangrowth. You will be asked to build a shower.
Create a Habitat and Befriend Trubbish
To befriend Trubbish, pick up 3 pieces of "Non-burnable Trash" scattered across the field. Use one as a material to craft a "Trash Bag," and keep the other two to give to Trubbish. By placing them near the trash can next to the Pokémon Center, you can create the "Trash Collection Point" habitat.
Give the Non-burnable Trash to Trubbish
Give the remaining "Non-burnable Trash" to Trubbish and have it take out the "Iron."
Craft a Shower and Place it in Piplup's Habitat
Craft a Shower using the "Iron" you received from Trubbish. You'll be told to place it in "a good spot," but placing it near Piplup's habitat is fine.
Showers Must be Attached to a Wall
Showers can only be placed on walls. If there is no wall where you want to install it, you can place a single block to make it possible to install.
Report to Piplup
After installing the shower, talk to Piplup to clear the request.
Receiving a Request from Tangrowth
Let's accept a request from Tangrowth, who is located in front of the Pokémon Center. You will be required to reach Environment Level 3, but this can be achieved by completing all subsequent requests.
Receiving a Request from Trubbish
Let's also listen to the request from the Trubbish located near Tangrowth. You will be asked to light up the streetlights, which involves bringing a Pawmi that can use "Generate Electricity."
Create a Habitat and Befriend Pawmi
On the small island to the left when facing the Pokémon Center, you can find the flowers needed for Pawmi's habitat. Use the move "Cultivate" to gather four of them in one spot to create the habitat.
Clear by bringing Pawmi to the front of the Pokemon Center
Take Pawmi to the front of the Pokemon Center and have them turn on the streetlights. Trubbish's request will be cleared, so next, talk to Pawmi and listen to their request.
Stop the water leak near the center of the map
To complete Pawmi's request, you will need Mareep. Since Mareep's habitat is submerged in the flooded area at the center of the map, let's stop the water leak with blocks to restore the habitat.
Talk to the Mareep that appeared from the habitat
Become friends with the Mareep that appeared from the habitat, then talk to it again to receive "Cotton".
Report to Pawmi to Complete
Give Pawmi the "Wool" you received from Mareep to complete Pawmi's request.
Receiving a Request from Piplup
When you talk to Piplup, you will receive a request to go swimming together.
Create a Habitat and Befriend Lapras
Befriend Lapras so you can swim together with Piplup. Lapras's habitat can be created at the seaside using four hedges and a large tree.
Obtain Healthy Hedge Seeds near the Pokémon Center
The "hedges" required for Lapras's habitat can be created by growing "Healthy Hedge Seeds" found near the Pokémon Center. They are located inside a Poké Ball within a broken house at the end of the path behind the Pokémon Center.
Wash away the mud on the map for Lapras's request
After becoming friends with Lapras, you will be asked to wash away 80 patches of mud on the map. Let's clean them up by cooperating with Piplup, just like before.
Learn "Surf" from Lapras
Once you complete Lapras's request, you will be able to transform into Lapras and use "Surf." By pressing the R button while in the water, you can transform into Lapras and move across the water as long as your PP lasts.
Talk to Piplup and Swim in the Sea Together to Clear
After talking to Piplup and moving to the coast, you can clear the request by using "Surf" to swim in the sea together. Note that Piplup will not swim unless you talk to it while transformed into Lapras.
Raise the Environment Level to 3
You cannot proceed to the next chart, "Let's Brighten Up the Town!", unless you have reached Environment Level 3. If you have completed the Pokemon requests up to this point, it should rise naturally. If it's not enough, it's efficient to pick up the sparkles on the island to create new habitats and increase the number of undiscovered Pokemon.

Go to the place where the sound is coming from and break the wall with Rock Smash.
Examine Snorlax inside the cave
Enter the cave and examine Snorlax.
Guide Tangrowth to Snorlax's Location
Talk to Tangrowth and head to the location where Snorlax is together. Since Tangrowth has a large body and cannot enter the cave unless the entrance is widened, you will need to widen the entrance slightly.
"Let's Brighten Up the Town!" Triggered
As the conversation progresses, the Important Request "Let's Brighten Up the Town" will be triggered. In order to wake up Snorlax, let's cooperate with Pokémon and brighten up the town.
Receive a Request from Meowth
Talk to Meowth to accept a request.
Light up the streetlights with Pawmi
Travel with a "Power Generation" Pokemon like Pawmi or Mareep and go around lighting up the streetlights. You will be able to clear the Request once you light 3 of them, but it's better to light up more to help with the story progression later on.
Report to Meowth to Complete
After lighting the streetlights, talk to Meowth to complete the request.
Talk to Torchic
Talk to Torchic to accept its request. Since you need to report back after lighting the fire, it is recommended to have Torchic accompany you while the request is in progress.
Creating the "Preparing a Meal at the Resort" Habitat
Let's create the "Preparing a Meal at the Resort" habitat. All necessary materials can be made through crafting, and the large palm tree is located on the Pokemon Center side.
Report to Torchic to Complete
Once you have created the habitat, report to Torchic to complete the request.
Talk to Tangrowth inside the cave
Tangrowth inside the cave has a speech bubble, so let's go and talk to it.
Head to the Scene of the Commotion
After the conversation event with Tangrowth, head towards the commotion in town. Examining the fallen Pokemon will trigger a conversation event.
Talk to Usu-chu
You can talk to Usu-chu and become friends during the conversation.
Take Usu-chu to Snorlax's Location
Talk to Usu-chu again, select "Let's go together," and take them to where Snorlax is. Usu-chu walks at a slow pace and takes a while to arrive, so it is efficient to bring Piplup or Pawmi along and maintain the town as you go.
Place a Shell Lamp near Snorlax
After the event in the cave, craft a Shell Lamp and place it near Snorlax. Lighting it up with Pawmi or Mareep will complete Usuchu's request.
Follow Usu-chu
Follow Usu-chu as they walk toward the town. You will be guided to the Windmill Power Machine, and you can accept a request by talking to them.
Connecting the Wind Power Generator and Power Poles
Take one of the power poles near the wind power generator and place it. As a guide for the placement range, if a connection can be made while holding a power pole, it will be displayed as semi-transparent.
Talk to Usu-chu and Accept the Request
Talk to Usu-chu to hear the details of the next request.
Place the Port Streetlight to Clear
Pick up the "Port Streetlight" nearby and place it near the utility pole you just installed. There is no specific required location as long as it is near the wind turbine and in a spot where the power lines connect to the Port Streetlight.
Accept a Request from Trubbish
Talk to Trubbish and accept their request.
Move to the top of the lighthouse with Trubbish
The request will be cleared once you reach the top of the lighthouse together with Trubbish. Since there are rubble and holes along the way, use Rock Smash to clear the debris and fill the holes with blocks to ensure Trubbish can pass through.
Place Utility Poles and Connect Them to the Top of the Lighthouse
After clearing Trubbish's request, place utility poles and connect the electric wires to the top of the lighthouse for later story progression. You can connect them to the top by placing utility poles using the pre-installed "Gray Circular Floors" as a guide.
Accept a Request from Piplup
Piplup has a speech bubble, so talk to it and accept the request.
Take Piplup to the Hydroelectric Power Machine Location
Head to the location of the Hydroelectric Power Machine together with Piplup.
Break the blocks in the back to let the water flow
Break the blocks blocking the nearby pond to let the water flow to where the waterway is. Once the water flows, the hydroelectric power machine will start operating, allowing you to complete Piplup's request.
Talk to Torchic and Accept the Request
Talk to Torchic to accept the request.
Take Torchic to the Thermal Power Machine
Let's take Torchic to the location of the Thermal Power Machine. It is located just to the west of the Wind Power Machine.
Obtain the Utility Pole Recipe Nearby
The "Utility Pole" recipe is lying on the ground in front of the Thermal Power Machine, so be sure to pick it up. As you progress through the story, the utility poles already placed on the map will not be enough, and you will need to craft more to supplement them.
Activating the Thermal Power Machine
The Thermal Power Machine is activated by inserting combustible materials. Any combustible material, such as Lumber, can be used. Since even a single item provides a long power generation time, one piece of Lumber is sufficient if you are just progressing through the story.
Raise Brightness to 80 Points
You can increase the brightness score by completing the Pokémon requests required for "Let's Brighten the Town" and by lighting the "Port Streetlights" throughout the town. If you haven't reached 80 points after doing everything, craft and place more "Port Streetlights" and light them up.
Talk to Snorlax to Check the Brightness
By talking to Snorlax, you can check your current brightness score. This serves as a guide for raising the brightness, so check it whenever you're curious.
Talk to Usu-chu in the cave
After raising the brightness to 80 points, talk to Usu-chu in the cave to trigger a dialogue event. Talk to Usu-chu and accept their request.
Sending Electricity from Each Generator to the Device
Connect power lines from the thermal, wind, and hydroelectric generators to the device to supply electricity. Electricity is delivered by connecting multiple utility poles; however, if you run out of poles, you will need to craft and install more.
Talk to Ushuchu
Once you have sent electricity to the device from the three power generators, talk to Ushuchu. Ushuchu will use a special move to brighten up the town.
Talk to Snorlax in the Cave
After the event with Usu-chu, let's go check on Snorlax inside the cave. Talking to it will trigger an event.
Talk to Raikou on top of the cave
Climb the cliff of the cave where Snorlax is and talk to the Raikou that appeared on top of the cave. By talking to it, Raikou will be registered in your Pokedex, and your Trainer Rank will increase to Hyper.
"Let's Brighten Up the Town!" Cleared
After the conversation with Raikou, the event progresses and returns to the conversation with Tangrowth and the others. After the event, Snorlax is registered to the Pokedex, and the Important Request "Let's Brighten Up the Town!" will be cleared.
To the Next Town
After clearing "Rocky Ridges Town" and "Bleak Beach Town," you can proceed to the next town, "Sparkling Skylands Town." If you haven't cleared "Rocky Ridges Town" yet, make sure to clear it first.
