Most of the convenience improvements below arrived in the free Ver. 2.0.0 update. Ver. 2.0.1 fixes bugs; a rise in interest in these features does not mean a new gameplay patch has just launched. Start with the changes that remove repeated trips and menu actions from your own projects.
Check your version first
On the Switch 2 HOME Menu, select the game and press + or −. Choose Software Update, then Via the Internet. Ver. 2.0.1 includes earlier changes, so you do not need to install 2.0.0 separately. These convenience changes belong to the free update; access to the Bubbly Basin town is a separate Expansion Pass feature.
| Task | Change | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Storage | Move items in bulk between your bag and storage. | Use the bulk-transfer option when putting away materials after a gathering trip. |
| Crafting | Materials in the storage box next to the workbench are used before bag materials. | Keep a storage box beside the workbench and stock the ingredients there. This is not unlimited access to every box in town. |
| Relic appraisal | Appraise up to 10 lost relics together. | Gather a batch before visiting the appraisal interaction. |
| Repeated services | Repeat Paint, Gather Honey and Collect in one interaction. | Stay in the interaction when processing several jobs. |
| Finding Pokémon | A Pokédex search can lead to another town through Return Home. | Search for the Pokémon first, then use the offered travel option. |
| Habitats | A Pokémon can return when the same habitat is rebuilt within a certain area. | Recreate the original arrangement nearby; this does not guarantee an unlimited-distance move. |
Three settings to review
Open Settings and look for the options that let you move while the move wheel is open, hide the confirmation when canceling Magnet Rise, and reduce camera motion sickness. Adjust them to your comfort. They change controls or camera behavior, not your recipe unlocks.
For building and exploration
Windows and doors support finer depth placement. The generator placement limit increased from 64 to 128, excluding furnaces, and a town can display 40 different photos instead of 10. Pokémon companions can follow during Surf, Glide, Rollout and Magnet Rise. While rolling, you can open your bag and inhale items, so short collection trips need fewer transformations.
Returning-player checklist
- Update before joining another player; both players need the same version.
- Place storage beside your main workbench and test a recipe using its materials.
- Review the three settings above.
- Gather a batch of relics before appraisal.
- For seasonal activities, also check the event’s own start requirements. Updating alone does not unlock every event.
