To make Glass, process sand-type materials in a Smelting furnace with a Pokémon that has the Burn specialty. Volcanic Ash from Rocky Ridges is a practical starting material. Glass is a crafting material; glass panes and windows are finished building parts.
What you need
Unlock material processing through the Rocky Ridges story, then use a Smelting Furnace. Bring a Burn-specialty Pokémon and gather Volcanic Ash, beach sand or ordinary sand. Check the Pokémon’s specialty rather than choosing by type alone.
Step-by-step glass production
- Gather sand or Volcanic Ash. Rocky Ridges has deposits of dark Volcanic Ash blocks; keep the collected material in your bag.
- Place or locate a Smelting Furnace and bring your Burn Pokémon nearby.
- Load a supported sand material into the furnace and have the Pokémon process it.
- Allow the processing to finish, then collect the Glass from the furnace.
- Prepare another batch before starting a large window or furniture project.
Other ways to get Glass
Breaking damaged window glass in the world can also provide Glass. It is useful for a small immediate shortage. For repeated building projects, gathering raw material and processing batches gives you a repeatable route. Keep some Volcanic Ash if other recipes also need it.
If the furnace is not producing Glass
- No suitable helper: check for the Burn specialty and bring that Pokémon to the work area.
- Wrong input: use a supported sand material. An empty furnace will not produce anything.
- Output not collected: check the furnace for finished Glass before starting over.
- Wrong item in a recipe: a requirement for Glass refers to the material, not Sea Glass Fragments or a ready-made window.
