Method 1: Environment Level 5 Reward (Free)

The easiest way to get the Game Boy is as a story reward — no crafting required.

1. Reach Environment Level 5 in Sparkling Skylands Town
2. Talk to Professor Tangrowth to complete the Important Request "Raise the Environment Level Even More!"
3. Receive the Game Boy as a reward

This is the fastest route if you're progressing through the main story, since you'll need to raise the environment level anyway for other quests.

How to Raise Sparkling Skylands to Environment Level 5

Environment Level rises as you discover new Pokémon and improve their habitat comfort. Here's the most efficient method:

• Create habitats on the island and wait for Pokémon to appear
• Move Pokémon into houses — once a Pokémon moves into a house, the original habitat slot opens up for a new Pokémon to spawn
• Pick up all glowing sparkles scattered around the island — each one contributes to your level
• Complete Pokémon requests — fulfilling requests from island Pokémon gives environment boosts

Repeating the create habitat → befriend → move into house cycle is the most reliable way to push past Level 4 and reach Level 5.

Method 2: Craft It with Pokemetal

Once you've reached Environment Level 5 in Sparkling Skylands, the Game Boy recipe becomes available in the PC Shop for 1,000 coins.
