More Spores for Hoppip

Pokémon Pokopia's first limited-time event, "More Spores for Hoppip", ran from March 9 to March 24, 2026 (PDT). Its quests and Cotton Spore exchange were time-limited, but community testing confirms Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff can still spawn from recreated event habitats.
Missed the event? Follow the Limited-Time Pokémon Workaround to photograph and 3D-print the habitat furniture without changing the system date.
Looking for timed research? Pokopia events work differently from Pokémon GO — instead of timed research tasks, you progress by collecting cotton spores and building specific habitats. Read on for the full step-by-step guide.

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: "A Pokémon Is the Talk of the Town"
When the event is active, you'll see a notification saying "A Pokémon is the talk of the town" upon waking up in a town with a rebuilt Pokémon Center. Head to your Pokémon Center (decorated with flowers during the event). You'll find Hoppip nearby — talk to it, and it will ask you to collect cotton spores.
Not seeing the notification? Make sure you have a completed Pokémon Center in your town, and try quitting and relaunching the game while in that town.
Step 2: Collect Cotton Spores on Dream Islands
Cotton spores spawn exclusively on Dream Islands during the event. To visit a Dream Island, give any doll to Drifloon. Collect as many spores as you can on each visit.
Step 3: Exchange Spores for Picnic Furniture
Return to the Pokémon Center and trade your cotton spores for picnic-themed furniture items. These are the building blocks for the habitats you'll need in the next step.
Step 4: Build Habitats to Attract Skiploom & Jumpluff
Use the furniture to build specific habitats:
| Habitat | Items Needed | Pokémon |
|---|---|---|
| Field-Trip Friends | Flower Backpack, Lunch Box, Hoppip Water Bottle (2×2) | Skiploom |
| Dandelion Lunchtime | Dandy Flowers, Flower Cushion, Flowery Table Setting, Lunch Box (2×2) | Jumpluff |
| Yellow Carpet | 4× Dandy Flowers (2×2) | Hoppip, Skiploom & Jumpluff |
The event window was required for the original quests and furniture exchange, but the three Pokémon can still appear from recreated habitats. Pokémon do not evolve in Pokopia, so Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff must each be befriended separately.
