Pokémon Pokopia's Tanabata (Star Festival) event, "Jirachi's Sparkly Wish-Strip Collection," brings the Mythical Pokémon Jirachi to your town. The event runs from June 23 to July 8, 2026. Befriend Jirachi, craft Wish Strips (Tanzaku, also called *Wish Notes*), fulfill townsfolk requests to turn them into Sparkly Wish Strips, and trade those for limited starry-sky furniture.

Best part: Jirachi stays in your town after the event ends, so this is a rare chance to add a Mythical Pokémon to your island permanently.

How to Start

Jirachi appears automatically when the event begins — you do not need to build a habitat to make it spawn.

Update the game to Ver. 1.1.0 and make sure you have a rebuilt Pokémon Center

Listen to Jirachi's request to befriend it and register it in your Pokédex

You'll receive the Wish Strip (Tanzaku) recipe

Not seeing Jirachi? Confirm you're on Ver. 1.1.0, have a fully rebuilt Pokémon Center, your system clock is set to real time, and you're online. The event does not run on Cloud Islands.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Craft Wish Strips

Using the recipe from Jirachi, craft Wish Strips at a crafting table in town.

Step 2: Fulfill Townsfolk Requests

Give the Wish Strips to the resident Pokémon and complete their wishes. When a wish is granted, the Wish Strip transforms into a Sparkly Wish Strip — the event currency.

Step 3: Collect Sparkly Wish Strips

Keep granting wishes to gather Sparkly Wish Strips.

Step 4: Trade for Starry-Sky Rewards

Exchange your Sparkly Wish Strips for limited-time starry-sky themed furniture and decorations. These rewards are only available during the event, so trade for everything you want before it ends.

Jirachi's Habitat: Surrounded by Starry Sky

During the event you don't need a habitat — Jirachi appears automatically. But if you want to fill the Habitat Dex, raise Jirachi's comfort, or show Jirachi on a Cloud Island, build its habitat "Surrounded by Starry Sky."

It needs these four items, each traded for 1 Sparkly Wish Strip (4 total):

Important: The Jirachi Lamp must be powered (connected to electricity) or the habitat won't complete.

Jirachi likes a Bright environment. Raise its comfort by placing light-emitting items nearby — Campfires, Lamps, Streetlights, or other lights — or by moving it outdoors.

Trade before July 8 — the starry-sky furniture is event-exclusive
